Material characteristics
Thanks to the ease of installation and low price, corrugated sheets are more and more often used for single roofs- and gable. These slabs are made of a homogeneous mixture of asphalt (46%), cellulose fibers (43%), mineral fillers (10%), with the addition of resins and pigments, under high pressure and high temperature. During the pigmentation process, the board is colored in the mass, resin cured, making it resistant to UV rays. Plate surfaces, compared to traditionally painted coverings, maintenance-free. Their most available colors are: black, red, green and brown.
The most important advantages of corrugated sheets include::
– no asbestos content, safe for health and the environment,
– they do not corrode, they do not break and are rot and chemical resistant,
– easy to install and does not require specialized tools,
– the low weight of the boards allows them to be used for light roof load-bearing structures,
– high durability under static loads and resistance to high and low temperatures.
