A descriptive part is prepared for inventory drawings and photographic photos, in which the general characteristics of the building and its individual fragments are given, both from a construction and stylistic point of view, in addition, additional information about the structure type, its age and general technical condition, built-in types of materials, applied static systems, read threads and binding systems, state of the internal structure, nature and extent of damage. In the descriptive part, the study of damage and deformation of the basic structures should be treated with particular care, like foundations, walls, column supports, vaults and ceilings. Attention should also be paid to interdependent structural elements, subordinated, and also on those parts of the vertical supporting structures, which are subject to settling, horizontal deviation and buckling.
Full descriptive documentation is supplemented by a log of observations of the behavior of the building. In the course of observation, it is important to state, whether there are deformations and damages, whose process is running, whether the process has been stabilized and at what time.
In the descriptive part of the damage, much attention should be paid to the characteristics and analysis of cracks and cracks. The description should be as short as possible, laconic and absolutely objective.
