Renovation mortar for concrete repair should have the following properties:
1. As little shrinkage as possible (should not decrease in volume as it dries).

3. Możliwie mały moduł sprężystości (the smaller the value of this modulus for some material, the more the material is flexible).
4. Możliwie duży wskaźnik przyczepności do podłoża (the greater the value of this indicator, the better the adhesion of the material).
There are two main types of renovation mortars used to repair concrete. Please list them and describe their properties.
Among the renovation mortars for repairing concrete, it is necessary to distinguish: cement mortars improved with plastics and epoxy mortars.
Properties of cement mortars improved with plastics:
Cement mortar improved with plastics shows a slight shrinkage during setting, and with proper preparation of the substrate, it has excellent adhesion. The coefficient of thermal expansion largely corresponds to that of concrete. This mortar is characterized by very good resistance to ordinary occurring loads. It is therefore almost exclusively used today, m.in. also because of the lower price.
Properties of epoxy mortars:
This renovation mortar has very good adhesion to the substrate and is particularly resistant to chemicals. Particularly suitable for repairing minor damage, however, it is more expensive than cement mortar improved with plastics.
